What makes you happy? My strategies that make me always happy
In my journey to be happy, I've discovered that there are several factors that contribute to my overall well-being, all without the need for drugs or other substances.
1. Not worrying that you will lose your job
One of the primary sources of my happiness lies in envisioning my future self. I feel an immense joy when I finally get hired in my current company that provides me with a stable career opportunity. The assurance of financial stability, with a steady income each month, removes any worries that I have about being unemployed in the future. This sense of security and never having to struggle for money brings me immense happiness.
In the past, when I was working at a company that felt like it would never get anywhere, I was constantly worrying about my future, it diminishes my happiness. Moreover, if external factors like my wife or my kids constantly interrupt me with their problems while I'm trying to focus, it hampers my ability to feel content. Similarly, external problems such as slow Wi-Fi, noise from outside, hunger, lack of sleep, bugs, mosquitos, unpleasant smells, or humidity all contribute to stress and, consequently, a decrease in happiness.
2. Well-rested
Adequate sleep and satisfying meals also play significant roles in my overall happiness. When I'm well-rested and not hungry, I find that my dopamine levels are higher, allowing me to concentrate better on my work or tasks. In this state, small external factors that would usually bother me no longer affect me as much.
3. Breaking the routine
Something that is breaking routinity is also contributes to my happiness. For instance, I feel joy when my work routine is over and I look forward to getting a vacation at the end of each month. It happens for me when I am working non-stop overseas for three weeks, the thought of returning home to my wife fills me with happiness. I cherish the moments in the car, en route to the airport, where excitement and joy about arriving at home and meeting my family, free from daily routine.
4. Beyond my ability to control
However, my happiness can drastically change in certain situations. For example, being inside an airplane triggers me to get feelings of unease due to the fear of accidents that can happen while I am onboard the airplanes. Looking down from the aircraft, constantly thinking nonsense that this heavy thing is floating in the sky, that it is against gravity. It makes my fear triggered, as my mind wanders the possibility of malfunctions that could lead to a crash. These thoughts overshadow any philosophical belief that I always embrace, about the meaning of life or the insignificance of death. Instead, my mind remains preoccupied with the potential dangers associated with flying because it’s beyond my control.
5. Don’t know why but sometime your dopamine is high
When my dopamine levels are high, I experience enhanced focus and the ability to do anything effortlessly especially when I am doing writing or coding. However, I don;t know why the effects of dopamine are just temporary, don't last forever, and soon my concentration wanes, when it happens it leaves me to face the very sober me, the real me. I lose my focus and my mind fades away, and starting to imagine a lot of stuff, doubts and fears of an unfavorable future begin to start, and that’s where my happiness is gone.
6. Your mind is not in the present moment
I often engage in self-dialogue. From the outside, maybe others perceive me as a serious or intimidating person because of my facial aura, making it unlikely for them to approach me for casual conversations. Only a select few friends who truly understand me can engage in any kind of casual conversations that make me feel comfortable, for others it’s just a brief Hy or saying my name.
Ultimately, what makes me happy boils down to a sense of future security. Not worrying about a bad financial situation in the future, whether making it from a stable job, or doing a business. If I have enough savings, it makes me feel like I have a positive state of mind. Conversely, the fear of not having enough money in the future, leading to hunger, pain, and potentially dire consequences, serves as a major source of unhappiness.
7. Finding Purpose and Building Strong Relationships
To feel truly happy, I make it a priority to discover what makes me passionate and to form meaningful connections with the important people in my life. By understanding what truly excites me and doing things that align with my values and interests, I find a deep sense of motivation and fulfillment. This could involve pursuing activities or goals that make my heart sing and bring me a lot of joy.
In addition to pursuing my passions, I also value the relationships I have with my family, friends, and loved ones. I make a conscious effort to engage with them on a deep level by sharing experiences, supporting one another, and creating a sense of belonging and happiness. These strong relationships bring me so much joy and comfort during both the challenging times and the moments of celebration.
8. Growing and Learning Every Day
In my journey to find happiness, I believe that there is always room for growth and learning. I actively seek out opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills because I know that they can make a big difference in my overall well-being. This could mean exploring new hobbies or interests that challenge me, like trying out a new sport or learning to play a musical instrument. It could also involve diving into books, articles, or videos that help me learn about fascinating topics and gain fresh perspectives.
By embracing these opportunities for growth and learning, I open up new possibilities and uncover hidden passions and talents within myself. It's an exciting journey of self-improvement that brings me a great sense of accomplishment and happiness.

I understand that practicing gratitude and mindfulness can have a powerful impact on my happiness. This could be as simple as saying "thank you" to someone who has helped me or taking a moment to reflect on the things I'm grateful for, such as having a loving family or experiencing a beautiful sunset.
Being mindful is also important, fully immerse myself in the present moment and content with event the small joys that hits me. Whether it's feeling the warmth of the sun on my face, enjoying a delicious meal, or listening to the sound of birds chirping, being present and aware enhances my happiness and appreciation for life.
10. Making a Positive Difference
One of the most fulfilling things for me is making a positive impact on the world and helping others. I actively try to seek out opportunities to contribute to causes that I deeply care about and lend a helping hand to those in need. For example I involve in volunteering my time at a local charity, supporting initiatives that protect the environment, or simply by just being there for a friend who could use some support.
I understand that even the smallest acts of kindness and generosity can make a big difference. By spreading positivity and inspiring others to do the same, we can create a happier and more compassionate world together.
I've learned that true happiness goes beyond just having financial security. While stability and financial well-being are important, they are not the only things that determine my overall happiness. Try to actively seeking a sense of purpose, nurturing meaningful relationships, and kepp making personal growth and learning, practicing gratitude and mindfulness, and making a positive impact, I create a fulfilling and joyful life.
